ABOUT

New York-based singer/songwriter/musician, Isaac Stalling is an artist shaped by movement, geographically, musically, and personally. Born in Munster, Indiana, and raised between Chicago, Buffalo, and Oklahoma City, his nomadic upbringing and deeply artistic household laid the foundation for a sound that blends Americana, folk, jazz, and rock with quiet originality. His father, a professor of poetry and linguistics, and his mother, a multidisciplinary visual artist, instilled in him an early sensitivity to language, form, and expression.

Stalling picked up the guitar at age 12, quickly immersing himself as a self-described “jazz kid” while playing in churches. By his junior year of high school, he was touring nationally with Americana and gospel acts, gaining experience as a side musician. Over time, he developed a voice that feels both classic and singular—rooted in tradition, yet distinctly his own.

Now stepping into the spotlight as a songwriter and producer, Stalling continues to expand his catalog through solo work and collaborations with artists including Daniel Caesar, Renny Conti, Ramsey Thornton, and more.

His upcoming EP Roastin’, set for release on May 6, 2026, marks a deeply personal evolution. Fully produced, mixed, recorded, played, and written by Stalling, with mastering done by Ethan Wilcox.

Created as a homage to the music that reshaped his outlook on life, Roastin’ draws inspiration from artists like Blaze Foley, John Prine, Arthur Russell, and Dan Reeder. The project embraces a philosophy of finding beauty in stillness and simplicity, even amid uncertainty. That ethos extends beyond the music itself—into its production, instrumentation, and visual identity. The EP’s artwork, created in collaboration with his younger brother Rowen Stalling, reflects this spirit: a simple, unassuming drawing of friends finding warmth and connection while roasting s’mores against a chaotic backdrop.

With Roastin’, Isaac Stalling offers not just a collection of songs, but a source of comfort, an invitation to slow down, reflect, and find meaning in the small, enduring moments of life.
